USES OF OLD NEWSPAPER

The old newspapers actually can benefits human in their daily. Rather than throwing it into the garbage, people should keep it for many reasons. Unfortunately, most of the people nowadays did not realize the benefit of keeping it. Some of them prefer to send it immediately to the recycling center. Actually, there are many use of newspaper in our daily life. Among them are:

1.      Covering tables and floor when painting a picture or when kids do crafts or art projects.

The paint usually will accidentally spill out to the floor during painting work. The old newspaper can be used to cover the floor, table or furniture while painting process is conducted.

2.      Wash windows with newspaper

The cleaning of home windows also can be conducted by using old newspaper. This old newspaper will replace rags to remove the dirt on the windows.

3.      Wrapping books as cover

The attractive images on the newspaper actually can replace the beautiful book wrapper. Some of the images appear to be a lot more enticing. Besides, the cost also is free of charge. 

4.      Drying the wet shoes

The old newspaper actually can be used to dry and deodorize the wet shoes. This can be done by inserting the old newspaper inside the shoes and leave it overnight. The old newspaper will absorb the water and this drying the shoes. This could be the alternatives while raining season.

5.      Sheath for knife

In order to keep safety in the house, old newspaper can be used to wrap the sharp part of the knife. This method could be the best way to keep everyone in the house safe especially children.

6.      Wrapping brittle material

The old newspaper can be used to wrap up brittle material such as glass, marble and other breakable items especially during packing to move house.

7.      Extra padding under tablecloth

In order to protect the wood, old newspaper can also be used to provide extra padding under the tablecloth at the kitchen or dining room. This will preserve the wood from scratch.

8.      Fire starting kit

One of the best sources of fire starters is by using the old newspaper. This is very useful especially for the house that has fireplace.

9.      Absorb water and keep dirt off in the floor of vehicle

To keep the dirt off in the floor of the vehicle, several sheet of old newspaper need to be placed. This is because; it has the ability to absorb water and mud.

10.  Ripen green tomatoes

The green tomatoes will be easily ripe when they are wrapped by the old newspaper. It also will preserved tomatoes from getting withered and damaged.
